Zoe just celebrated her 3rd birthday. We had a huge party at
the house and
lots of Zoe's friends came over to share in the fun. It was a
huge success.

The highlight of the party was a wonderful happy accident. We were setting up for the games (see bottom) when a fire truck went driving by. They saw a bunch of kids running around in cheap red firefighter hats and decided to stop. Wow! Way cool! Aside from upgrading our firefighter hats to the cool black ones, the kids got a great tour of the fire engine. (The parents tried to play it cool, but we thought it was pretty neat too!) |

Once the trucks left, we got back to the games. Zoe wanted a firefighting theme, and (now that we'd been outdone by the MVFD, we did our best to keep up our end of the deal.

Zoe started by demonstrating the obstacle course to every one.
The kids got to pretend they were real firefighters.

After the alarm sounded,

Once they arrived on scene, ther was a house fire to put out.
They seemed to all be naturals at this.par of the process.
Knock down those flames boys!
