Christmas Day was pretty darn cool. Since we just finished all
the renovation work (and thought we
were moving) the house was in great shape to have a quiet Christmas
at home. On Christmas Eve, we went down to St. Mary's to help decorate
for Christmas Day masses. Zoe was very excited to help decorate for
"Baby Jesus' Birthday Party". She was even more thrilled to help
set up the Nativity scene, including getting to place Baby Jesus in the
creche. We went to 11:00pm Mass on Christmas Eve. Zoe was very
anxious to go to "Baby Jesus' Birthday Party"- it was really cute.
She took her bath, went to bed at about 8:30, and at 9:00 came out and
announced that she was ready to go to the party. :-) She
managed to stay pretty patient through the entire Mass, and (as usual)
entertained everyone around us. We came home and went to bed (after
Mom and Dad took care of a few things). Zoe even let us sleep until
about 7:45- what a treat!
Here are some pictures from Christmas Morning and Christmas Day. Grammy came up first thing in the morning , and brought Rex with her. (Jake was away at school). We were really thrilled to have an entire Christmas in our own home. It was really a special time.

Zoe got a special tricycle from Santa. It can be a rocking horse, or a trike. Shre really likes it. We spent most of the Christmas break touring the neighborhood on it.Zoe wasn't too crazy about the idea of a big fat guy coming down the chimeny while she slept. In fact, we had to light candles in the fireplace so he wouldn't come down. In this picture, Mom is holding the note left by an elf. It says that Santa sent the tricycle in with an elf so that Zoe wouldn't be afraid.
Also in this picture is Zoe's own reading chair. Thanks, Nana and Papa!!!
