Home Sweet Home
Well, we're into the house and the real work is beginning.

"Real Work", of course, is defined as anything that ought to have happen before Zoe was born.  Kath and I seem to have come to a logical split on the tasks to be done.  She does anything that involves parts made of cloth or that require a sense of style and decor.  I do things that require crawling in the attic, heavy lifting, grunting, or the creation of a large mess.  I recently updated our project list, so now you can see how badly we underestimated some things.   There are pictures of the fence from last year, the front door we put in this past March, and the deck we just built.  Keep watching here for more detailed updates on the grand-daddy of all projects, our Kitchen Remodel.  I also owe a page or two for he great landscaping job Kath has been running.

Having projects is a great way for me to justify buying more tools, so you can find news of my workshop and the old tool page.  Of course, this isn't all that fair to Kath, since she is doing things like making curtains for the baby's room, which doesn't appear on the project list.

In the "history department"...
For anyone who's thinking of buying a place, check out our story.  The saga of finding one to buy is just the prelude to the agony of actually offering and closing the deal.  Fortunately, we had a great real estate agent, Kathi Hammil, who was fantastic to work with.  We definitely recommend her to anyone.

And then there was Moving Day...
