Good places to shop:

I have found stores such as Baby Gap, Baby Guess?, Gymboree, Macy's and Nordstrom's to have the best quality and better selection.

What Size?

Don't worry about buying the proper size!  It's impossible since we don't know how big the baby will be at birth (impossible to predict no matter WHAT other people tell you) nor is it possible to predict how fast s/he will grow. Also, sizes vary across brand (just like women's clothes!) so a "3 month" size at Baby Gap may be HUGE compared to a "3 month" in Baby Dior.

What to Look For

Baby skin is extra-sensitive, so please be sure to look for clothes that are 100% cotton and a very soft fabric.  Also make sure there are snaps on BOTH legs (for easy access to that diaper).  Make sure there are no extra accessories that pull off easily or decals that can eventually crumble off.

Please feel free to also get the socks and hats that coordinate.  The baby will be born at the beginning of winter, so we'll need those items to help keep it warm.

A Final Note

Shopping for baby clothes is really fun (I think).  Given the uncertainty about size, please leave the tags on the clothes and let us know where you got them (so we can return for the proper size, if necessary).
