 Baby Registry

Listed below are some ideas for baby gifts, but you're always welcome to go with your own ideas!  We've already taken care of the major items (crib, bedding, quilts, a dresser, a car seat and a stroller). The nursery "theme" is brightly colored fish (or under the sea).

Update 10/8:  We are looking good in the number of clothes and blankets that we have (thanks!).  While more are always welcome (the clothes are fun to shop for, I must admit), there are some other items that could really help us out listed below.

For those of you who prefer to visit a store with a registry list, we registered at The Right Start (go to their web page for locations near you)! There are still a few items left on the registry or maybe just being in the store will inspire you.

Stuff We Still Need/Would Like

  • Books & toys are ALWAYS good bets
  • Baby Scrapbook or some other type of "memory book"
  • Portable playpen (for those frequent trips to Grandma's)
  • Rocker seat/bouncer - I recommend the Baby Trend Infant Rocker
  • A share of stock (e.g., Mattel, Johnson & Johnson) to put in the baby's college fund (it's never too early to start saving for that Stanford tuition)
  • Classical Music CDs (to soothe us AND the baby)
  • A digital camera (so we can easily post all those pictures of the baby on the web page).  Make sure it is compatible with Windows NT AND Windows 95
  • Bath-Time Items:
    • Toys for the bathtub
  • Teething rings (cloth)
  • Sun shade for inside the car near the baby's car seat

Side Note:  We won't be able to use items like a jogger/stroller or high chair until the baby is at least 6-8 months old, which is why I tended to leave them off the list.  However, if you're interested, the high chair we would like is by Peg Perego (any pattern is fine).
